## Branches
The branches feature allows you to create multiple workflow branches based on predefined conditions. This way, each contact is directed along the appropriate path depending on their interactions or status.
– **Allow New Branches:** You can now add new branches within an action, giving you more flexibility.
– **Is Predefined Branches Editable:** Modify existing predefined branches to better suit your specific needs.
– **Show Branches Section:** Displays detailed branch section information so you are always aware of the available pathways.
## Pause Execution
This feature allows you to halt a contact at a specific action in the workflow. The contact will only resume when a resume webhook is triggered.
– When the toggle is enabled, the contact will remain paused until the resume webhook is called.
– An extras object must be provided as a body payload to the resume workflow endpoint.
– The Show API Details button displays a sample response for both successful and failed execution webhooks.
## Sync Execution
In scenarios where Pause Execution and branching are disabled, the contact will proceed to the appropriate branch based on the branchId provided in the API response or from Custom Code using a return statement. The branchId determines the path the contact will follow.
## Async Execution
For asynchronous execution, when Pause Execution is disabled, the branchId must be sent to the webhook to resume the contact’s progress. The Show API Details button will provide the necessary information to accomplish this.
